3 Saved at Grace Pointe Youth Revival

Brother Ken and Sister Barbara Sibley held a youth revival at Grace Pointe April 28-30. Bro. Sibley presented the Gospel by using his illusions as illustrations. Meanwhile, Sis. Sibley led worship and taught lessons with Zeke the Dog. We averaged 21 in attendance each night, had several first time visitors and saw three souls saved.

Grace Pointe Attendance Spikes

April saw attendance reach into the 30s for the first time since we have been in Brownwood. We had 30 on Easter Sunday, 34 the following Sunday and 25 two weeks later. We have had several first time visitors who continue to visit, have had one rededication, one come forward for baptism, and now have solid prospective members in the souls saved at the youth revival.

Offerings Drop During Tax Month

I’m not sure if it was the woes that come with tax month, or the possibility that members who give sacrificially during tough attendance months took a breather during this month of high attendance. Either way, offerings have been down by $700 per month for the past two months. As a result, Grace Pointe has operated at a deficit for two months. We have had the funds in reserve to cover the expenses, but will need to make adjustments in our budget during our May business meeting.
