Welcome Memorial MBC!!!!

In their regular monthly business meeting, Memorial MBC of Rusk, TX, voted to support Mission: Brownwood on a monthly basis at a rate of $50 per month. Memorial MBC is a good church pastored by Bro. Odis Bryan. Bro. Bryan pastored Alto MBC when they were the sending church for Robert Blume in Romania, and makes frequent mission trips to various fields.

At least I remembered...

...what the Gospel was!

I spent Sunday morning with Vanderbilt Baptist Church (mission status sponsored by Bethel MBC of New Waverly), as it was their homecoming services. As some of you know, I started their Discovery program for the youth, and it is still going strong. While I was there, Bro. Marvin Gardner asked me to come back next Sunday evening and present the Mission: Brownwood work.

Yesterday evening, I presented the work to Bethel MBC of Tatum, TX, as part of their missions revival. It was a real honor to be able to speak to Bethel. I presented my sermon, "Spreading the Gospel" from Romans 1:14-17. Bro. James Williams, pastor, told me that they would report to Bro. Brooks that I can still present the Gospel (How Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day, according to the scriptures.)

I'll be at Vanderbilt next Sunday evening, and I'll visit with Memorial MBC of Rusk, TX, the evening of May 4. Memorial is pastored by Bro. Odis Bryan.

What a weekend!

Friday, Jessica and I purchased the Home & Student version of MS Office 2007. I still can't get it to work, so I'm going to find someone with a CD so I can install it that way and use my product key.

Saturday, I worked the morning show at KWRW 97.7 FM, then headed to the soccer field. It was a topsy-turvy day in the soccer world. After soccer, we all went to Elkhart to the Memorial MBC barbecue, where Jessica got her first taste of wild hog. That was one of the best days of fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ in a while.

Then, it was off to Brownwood to plunk down earnest money on the house we are going to purchase. I also got the exciting news about Camp Bowie reopening.

Then, we came home and crashed.

Memorial MBC - Elkhart

Please be in prayer for Memorial MBC of Elkhart as they continue to search for a pastor. They are located in a residential area of Elkhart, TX, and strive to reach out to people in southern Anderson County, a place that has been overrun by false Christianity, wolves in sheeps-clothes preachers and self-serving con-artists.

Southern Anderson County is a difficult mission field which can be discouraging to even the most robust Christian, so please pray for Memorial MBC.
